post #1 why is iran a world issue?

I chose the topic of Iran because it is an interesting country and is going through a political turmoil for the past two months just after the successful Egyptian revolution. It has other issues as well that are really important to the world because it is one of the largest oil producers in the world and exports about 10% of the world gasoline. Another aspect that makes it an interesting topic is that the country is ruled by a Islamic Religion Leader like the Pope of the Catholic Church. My following posts on this blog will be about the Issues dealing with this country and its political stand and relations with other countries around the world
